ELK continues to optimise and improve all aspects of our production processes to offer our customers not only competitive pricing and high quality, but also the latest manufacturing innovations. A quarter of our staff are involved in Quality, Research, and Engineering – and more than a third of our Production staff are graduates.

In 2009, for example, our printing alignment and cutting processes became camera based, thereby improving design tolerances for our customers. More recently, we installed ACF bonding lines, again giving our customers greater design options.

In mid-2010 we are increasing our capacity and fine pitch track capability through the addition of three new roll-to-roll touch sensor production lines using an innovative thin film process. Each has the capability of producing more than one million sensors per month.

ELK is a technology leader in Capacitive Touch sensors through our fine-pitch printing capability.

ELK is also a technology leader in Direct Bonding of displays with a unique re-working process that enables us to guarantee high production yields to our customers.

ELK is constantly looking to anticipate the needs of our customers, assessing new innovations and technologies that may bring benefits in the future. This work, and the key focus of our current research, is reflected in our Technology Roadmap.
